Starting on 21 September 2017, this ten-week online course (Thursday lunchtimes) will cover the relevant sections of the code; considering the practical application of the codes with worked examples and hands-on workshops on design and detailing. The most common structural elements will be covered. The course is designed for practising UK engineers so will use the UK's Nationally Determined Parameters.

Learning Outcomes

  • Know your way around the content of Eurocode 2: Parts 1-1 & 1-2, General design rules and fire design.
  • Understand the context for the code, and the essential differences between Eurocode 2 and BS 8110 in practice.
  • Have experience in design to Eurocode 2 requirements.
  • Have experience using the code through worked examples.

This course is completed entirely online

As part of your registration you will recieve: 

  • Soft copy publications: How to Design Concrete Structures using Eurocode 2, Worked Examples to Eurocode 2: Volume 1 & Concise Eurocode 2 or Concise Eurocode 2 for Bridges
  • Course notes. Delegates will recieve course notes two days before each live webinar session. 
  • Webinar recordings. The webinars will be recorded. All delegates will recieve a link to the recording at the end of each session. You will be able to watch the course as many times as you like. If you are unable to attend the live session, a link to the recording will be emailed to you.
