Student Design Competition Q&A session

The 2022 project is to design a school building within an existing school development in the suburbs of a large UK city.

The client has requested bids from design-and-build contractors for the construction of the building and its maintenance over the next 30 years. One of these contractors has commissioned an initial design for the new building at Smeaton High School from a firm of consulting engineers. The building includes a classroom block and sports hall. Entrants must respond as though they are the structural engineer responsible within the consultant’s team.

To assist students with any specific queries, Jenny Burridge, head of structural engineering at The Concrete Centre and a member of the judging panel, will be hosting a Q&A session for any students participating in the competition

This session will take place on Friday 22nd April 2022 at 12:30 - 13:00.

Hosted by the author of the brief and one of the judges of the Structural Concrete Competition, Jenny Burridge, this webinar aims to provide top tips and to answer specific questions ahead of the deadline dates for submission.

If you have a query on the brief and/or the process for entering the competition, please note bookings for this event will open closer to the time.
