Modern concrete structures can have large spans and predicting their deflections at the serviceability limit state may be complex, due to numerous time-related material and environmental factors. This course provides guidance on the use of the simplified and rigorous methods to calculate deflections of slabs and beams, backed up by worked examples to Eurocode 2.
