Eurocode 6: masonry
Eurocode 6, or BS EN 1996: Design of masonry structures, relates to buildings and other civil engineering works, and covers reinforced, prestressed and confined masonry. The four parts cover the rules for reinforced and unreinforced masonry, structural fire design and detailed rules for lateral loading. The four parts are:
- BS EN 1996-1-1:2005 Design of masonry structures. General rules for reinforced and unreinforced masonry structures
- BS EN 1996-1-2:2005 Design of masonry structures. General rules. Structural fire design
- BS EN 1996-2:2006 Design of masonry structures. Design considerations, selection of materials and execution of masonry
- BS EN 1996-3:2006 Design of masonry structures. Simplified calculation methods for unreinforced masonry structures
