To ensure the sustainability and long term suitability of new housing, a two-pronged approach to climate change is essential, addressing both Climate Change Mitigation and Climate Change Adaptation needs for housing.

This presentation shows how masonry construction can be used to deliver energy efficient housing with low whole life carbon emissions. It also describes how new homes with a masonry structure can offer essential long term performance and adaptability. Providing continual comfort in predicted warmer and wetter environmental conditions by reducing the risk of overheating, flood and storm damage.
