Futurebuild 2019

22 Mar 2019

Held at ExCel, London from 5-7 March The Concrete Centre represented the industry providing guidance on the benefits of using concrete and the sustainable lifecycle of concrete.

The exhibition was extremely busy for all three days - on the stand and in the seminar sessions delivered by The Concrete Centre experts.

During Futurebuild we disseminated 3,000 guidance documents and magazines, published by The Concrete Centre. These included recently updated guides include:

Thermal Mass Explained

Our flagship publication on one of our strongest benefits, thermal mass, has been updated with new graphics and layout to aid easy reading and delivery of our key messages.

Specifying Sustainable Concrete

Another crucial publication has been revised with update to BS 8500 and allowance of composite cements. Other sections have had amends to incorporate any new performance data or changes in standards.

Concrete Credentials: Concrete, Concrete Products and Constituent Materials

A quick reference guide to the sustainable and performance benefits of concrete. The tables within this guide present sustainability facts and data for precast concrete; ready-mixed concrete; cement; reinforcement and constituent materials.

The Book of Books

This catalogue of guidance from The Concrete Centre provides a summary of key documents available in hard copy and to download from www.concretecentre.com/publications

This catalogue is also useful for members to brief their specification and sales teams with guidance available on why and how to use concrete. For copies please email info@concretecentre.com

Concrete Futures: The Shape of Things to Come

The Concrete Centre also delivered a feature at Futurebuild "Concrete Futures". This explored innovations in concrete and included the companion magazine "This is Concrete – The Shape of Things to Come".

The mix of physical exhibits and video featured new concrete, smart concrete, digital and lean construction. Promoting how concrete is evolving and innovating to deliver a sustainable built environment now and for future generations.
