The competition is open to students studying at schools of architecture, landscape architecture and the built environment in the UK, and is free to enter. Entries are welcomed from universities embedding the competition brief within their course curriculum, and also from individual students who’s universities have not embedded the brief within their course and teaching.
The competitoin aims to raise awareness and equip students with essential skills and technical knowledge needed in practice. Students will learn how to make more informed, responsible and sustainable decisions when designing and specifying concrete. The competiton brief provides an exciting opportunity for students to advance their technical knowledge of materials and construction methods whilst also developing their creative, critical thinking and presentation skills.

Entry is free and gives students a chance to gain essential skills, boost their portfolios and win a £250 cash prize. The brief is aligned to ARB learning outcomes allowing straightforward integration into course curriculum and is accompanied by complimentary learning resources such as site plans, photos, videos and reading lists.
