Concrete recycling is undergoing something of a revolution. New technologies are emerging, new products are being formulated, new applications discovered, and new business models developed.
To showcase progress in the sector, a conference - ‘Making better use of recycled concrete demolition waste.” - was held in November 2023. Co-hosted by Dr Pippa Horton, Business Manager with Cambridge University, and Elaine Toogood, Director of Architecture and Sustainable Design at The Concrete Centre, the event brought together 14 speakers from some of the leading companies and organisations active in this field.
