From Products to Solutions – BIM
Davide Zampini - Global R&D at Cemex
The future of construction will demand ever-higher levels of sustainability, but identifying and communicating the right solution is becoming increasingly challenging. Projects are being shaped by targets for lower embodied carbon, enhanced durability, design efficiency, and circularity. With so many factors to consider, a holistic, data-driven approach is essential.
This presentation explores a case study showing how a unique BIM plug-in leverages the power of BIM to analyse complex project data and clearly articulate the most effective construction solutions.
Real-time monitoring and predictive analytics in practice
Lisa von Graevenitz - EMEA Account Director at Converge
The biggest barrier to low-carbon concrete isn't materials-it's confidence in performance. Too often, teams default to higher-cement mixes because they can't afford to get early strength predictions wrong.
Converge will demonstrate how real-time monitoring and predictive analytics gave Keltbray the confidence to increase GGBS content from 20% to 40% on a live central London project, while still achieving the early-strength requirements of its climbing formwork programme.
The result? More than 200 tonnes of CO₂ saved on a single project. If low-carbon concrete is to scale, the industry needs tools that make the sustainable option the reliable option. This session will show what that looks like in practice.
Decarbonising construction industry with SCMs and automation
Stephen Handscomb - Managing Director: Cementitious, with Dr Ashish Mohite - co-founder of Hyperion Robotics
Hyperion and with LKAB Minerals have established a new advanced digital, automated and robotised manufacturing facility. The partnership brings together Hyperion Robotics’ advanced computational design, robotics and digital manufacturing expertise with LKAB’s global leadership in low-carbon industrial minerals and materials.
LKAB are reducing carbon in concrete through the use of various SCMs, material efficiency, using off site prefabrication. Their new facility 3d prints foundation units with minimal material and low carbon concretes to provide super efficient structural support to infrastructure projects
As a co-founder and CTO of the Finnish startup Hyperion Robotics, Dr. Ashish Mohite focuses on utilizing automation to decarbonize the construction sector. His professional background as an architect includes project designs across Germany, India, and Finland, as well as ten years of academic research dedicated to additive manufacturing in architecture.
