This afternoon of practical and informative seminars will provide designers with guidance on regulation and specification as well design exemplars and practical advice on concrete. The event will cover Part L and thermal performance, this will include an update on recent changes to building regulations and guidance on ways to achieve high thermal performance detailing using concrete and masonry. Concrete and BREEAM:2014, achieving polished concrete floors by offering Practical guidance, tips and tricks for specification and installation of cast in situ concrete floors with case studies from an experienced installer and specialist in concrete postfinishing techniques and lastly a case study of John Henry Brookes Building. This project was awarded winner of RIBA South Sustainability & Building of the Year categories. The use of visual concrete is integral to the low energy strategy and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
